Dr. Wellenstein holds an undergraduate degree from S.U.N.Y at Albany (1969) and a Doctorate of Medicine from S.U.N.Y Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse (1976). He remained at Upstate Medical Center to complete both his residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 1979 and a fellowship in Neuroradiology in 1980. Dr. Wellenstein received postgraduate training in Stereotactic Breast Biopsies (1994) from Presbyterian Breast Center, Charlotte, North Carolina. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
